Tree-top walk with OB and Pig Head
I heard much rave from other blogger about the Henderson Waves, which made me all the more to experience myself. Pig Head and OB were my companions for the 'Big Walk' that day.
To start off, we needed to find this opening, opposite Vivo City and near the carpark off the bus inter-change. Funny how I'd never noticed it before?
From here, one can also reach the Southern Ridges and Mount Faber.
The trail that leads to our destination.
Pig Head doing the tour guide pose.
Well despite the grey sky, many enthusisasts like us didnot give up the walk.
Not to forget taking pics of the nature sights and greens along the way.
Jia You! Up and up... we climbed...
Half-way, we're at Telok Blangah where the cable cars hung like big lanterns in front of us.
The narrow path by the side of the road. Don't fret, there're big yellow foot prints to guide 'tourists' like us.
Telok Blangah estates
Where next?
Yes, we reached Henderson Waves!
Wonder what's the rave about this place?!
You may think that the bridge is curvy, but it's not. It's the 'shell' that gives the delusion that's all. I like the fact that the bridge is built with wooden planks.
A beauty there?
Hmmm.. wasn't that Pig Head? Wahahaha....
And a good way to release and have fun on the bridge? Star Jump!
NEXT! Hilltop and Forest Walks!
At Treetop Walk...
Old Bird acting cool.
I was trying hard to take a good pic that would include the background and Pig Head.
This reminded me of the Treetop Walk in Melbourne, which is much more majestic.
Yeah... do not feed the monkeys... well no monkeys in sight though.
That's all about it.
We're heading to the HortPark, where there're vegetations to see.
This bridge was built to replicate the leaf. At least half of it...
At the entrance of the HortPark, the pretty sights of colourful flowers welcomed us.
A family of ixora?
And another?
Wonder what type of flower this belong to?
It's amazing at the many varieties of beautiful flowers Singapore can grow here?!
Another breed of daisy.
Opposite is actually office buildings, and how convenient for them to overlook the natural beauty everyday at work.
Further down, we came upon a mini greenhouse.
Unfortunately, my camera battery went flat and couldn't take any more pics that many intersting went along the way. Had to depend on Pig Head's then.
Pls wear proper gears in future. But Pig Head and I do just fine with thongs.
We came upon a bench out of nowhere. So we decided to act as some sweet and loving couple romancing in the park. Wakakaka...

We decided to end the trail and as we walked towards the main road, we came upon this condominium which laid atop the hill.
Back to the noisy side of life, OB and I decided to hang around Vivo City atop the balcony for snacks and beers. What better way to end the day this way right??
