MH's birthday dinner @Imperial Treasure, Marina Club S'pore

This is considered one of our yearly luxurious dinner affair. It's either MH's birthday or Mother's Day. Papa is always aboard working at those times, so he's always left out of pic.

These aren't grand affairs, but more like family dinners with everyone around making noises. Just that I don't have lotsa leftovers to clear over the next 2 days! And MH gets to eat and doesn't have to lay her hands on.

For her birthday this year, bro brought us to Imperial Treasure @ Marina Club S'pore.

The interior is very comfy, a great enviornment for having a dinner in less than luxurious style.

The lights and the colour of the layout does have an impact to your enjoyment of the food served in your face.

There's a huge fish tank at the back with all sorts of fish and other seafood.

In the restaurants that we've frequented, steamed China peanuts are usually served before the dishes are out. For Imperial Treasure, it was walnuts sweetened with honey and topped with white sesame seeds.

Appetiser/ starter was roast pork with mustard-mixed dipping sauce.

I had ordered a Crab & Scallop soup. I do not know why the colour orange, but the soup was thick and creamy. I couldn't figure out the taste, and whether it's western-meets-eastern style.

My bro-in-law has a winter-melon soup in a... winter-melon! The lucky terror in the middle gets to enjoy different soups from the parents.

Braised tofu with seafood. Hmmm... I realised that we always order similar dish after scanning pic of past events. But I like the braised tofu served at Canton Wok best thou, mainly because of the sweet sauce.

Black Pepper Prawns with Vermicelli.

I considered this the best dish we had at this dinner. The black pepper taste is really strong, even the vermicelli and prawns are already thoroughly absorbed.

Normal Roast Duck with Sour Plum Sauce.

Steam Fish. The flesh was really tender and not tough. The sauce accompanied wasn't too salty.

Sweet & Sour Pork. Very tasty but also oily.

Spinach with Century Eggs. No comments because I don't like century eggs in the 1st place.

My favourite dessert; Hasma with red dates and lotis seeds in rock sugar soup.
Time for a walk after all the food and the dessert. A good time to explore the place and enjoy the brisk wind.

My sis bought this Organice Blueberry cake from Cedele. You've to order it before hand as it's not available off the shelf.

The terror must always snatch the limelight when there's a cake with lighted candles.

He a 'sweet' boy, who enjoys cakes and pastries just like me! He likes my cupcakes and brownies too.
