Pot Luck @ Big Bird's

This was our 1st pot luck at Big Bird's place. Okie... we all had our gatherings @ Big Bird's place, so wonder what are the other 1sts that we've not done at his place yet??

Pot luck to me is no difference to pooling of money to buy take aways together. Because not everyone cooks! The same has gone to all the pot luck gatherings I had. Wonder when will I get to attend the truly authentic one?

We're honoured to have Lil Dino (ex colleague) to join us and FINALLY! She's been missing in action for a pretty long time.

The Gang Pic! And guest appearance is Big Bird's gf.

From left - Cabbages, Chix drums and plain omelette.

From left - Satays, Otahs and more chix drumlets.

More cabbages.

Me sponsored whipped potato.

Pig Head tucked into the hamburg 1st. See the hunger strike in her?

Pig Head & Turkey.

Pig Head's favourite pose while she's tucking in.

Lil Dino & Predator.

Big Bird & gf.

Turkey also prepared dessert for us all; her favourite deadly choc brownie.

Vanilla ice-cream was provided to accompany the brownie.

Some after-dinner chit-chat session. Basically, we're too full to move and sunk to our chairs.

Pig Head showing her flapping stance.

Lil Dino showing her cutesy poses. Luckily she did them after our meals, else we would have stomach upset even before we ended.

Big Bird's gf joined Lil Dino?!

Oh what a lovey-dovey couple... and we thanked them for letting us had such great pot luck!

Congrats to our dear Chix!

Finally! Our dear Chix has finally given birth to a baby boy! Hellooo Lil Braddy!

I got an sms that very morning from Chix, that her son has decided to come out and see the world for himself on 19 Sep 08. HA!

He's so looongg! Just like his daddy, tall and super slim.

Fish has also dropped by to check out the new-born.

Luckily for the new mommy and daddy, I prepared enough choc cupcakes for this joyous occasion!

How sweet of daddy feeding the tired mommy a bite???

Hi Lil Braddy! Welcome to the world! Welcome to the Piggy Gang!

And Braddy? I'm sure your mommy and daddy will love you very much! And we love to poke our noses around you till you start calling us Pretty Aunties... soon!

Gerry's Birthday @ Soup Restaurant

We're celebrating Piggy Gerry's birthday on a Monday, after work. Chix wouldn't make it as she's heavy with yet to be born Lil' fellow.
As the Thai restaurant that Fish had suggested was closed, we settled for the Soup Restaurant on Purvis Street instead.
Guess what? It's the 1st time we had dinner here. All past gatherings and dinners were all held in western eateries.

This is the most cosy Soup Restaurant that I find so far. The other that I had my meals at was at Royal Plaza on Scotts.

Fish and Witch Nana

Birthday gal, Gerry and Piggy E.

For appetiser, we were served steamed peanuts. A commonly served appetiser in all chinese restaurants.

I present you their most famous dish, the Samsui Chicken with lettuce, preserved ginger and chilli.

Close up on the boiled boneless chicken meat.

My way of eating the delicious Samsui Chicken; a slice of chicken topped with lotsa ginger and cucumber in lettuce.

Kai Lan stir-fry with chinese herb, Dang Gui.

Sweet sauce beancurd

Herbal Chicken Soup

Salted Snow Fish; not my favourite though.

After dinner, we proceeded with Gerry's birthday cupcakes. They were strawberry ones.

Happy Birthday Piggy Gerry!

Fish enjoying the cupcake.

Ain't Fish cute here? I commented that she looked like Daisy Duck in this pic. Ooops!

By the way, she loved the cupcake so much she had a second helping.

Witch Nana whipped out her goody glasses. So she's become Secretary Nana that night!

Or rather, she looked like a teacher or student perhaps?

Gerry opening up her pressies.

Part I: Precious Moment photo album and a cupcake figurine of her b'dae month.

Part II: Vouchers from Capital Mall.

The lamp on the ceiling was swaying more and more as the night went on... We finally asked the waitress who told us it was normal as there's a dancing class above.

After dinner, we continued to hang around for chit-chat session and some catching up on our Uni days again.

Piggy E is forever saying cute stuff that get us cracking up all the time!

See all of us laughing hysterically?

It was a really great dinner, with the night ended off in heaps of laughter. A wonderful time spent with the Piggies indeed!
