Golden Shoe Car Park & Market Street Food Centre

There are only 2 stalls that can tempt us at Golden Shoe, all the way from our office.

The other would be curry chicken noodles at Mei Hua Food Court, beside Golden Shoe.

Speaking of which, we've also tried the other version at Hong Lim Food Centre. I favour the former because the latter's curry skew more to the sweet side and the chicken pieces come with lotsa bones.

We frequent this stall at 2-3 times a week. Aunty always remember us by asking if we want fresh hot chicken wings from the wok.

They've the basics of bee hoon, mee & kway teow. Sides include fried egg, hot dog, Taiwan sausage, fish cutlet, fried tofu, fried fish cake, normal otah, mackeral otah (80 cents), crispy chicken wing ($1.20) and etc.

Not this popular chicken rice, I'm not a big fan of it. Being a Hainanese and having a mother who loves to cook chicken made me averse to it.

We used to have chicken prepared in different styles on our dinner table 2-3 times a week. But the only one will have me crave for is the Boiled Black Chicken with White Fungus that is cooked slowly over small fire.

Yes, it's the famous Golden Shoe Nasi Lemak. The other nasi lemak stall located just behind the one pictured here has too much lumpy rice that is a disappointment, for I don't include rice in my diet. When I do eat rice related food, it has to be real good.
