I L.O.V.E. U Piggies!

It's our once-in-a-blue-moon piggies' gathering and our second 'pot luck'. I baked some Banana Muffins and whipped up a big bowl of MH's whipped potato for lunch.

I got up at 6+am to prepare my trip to the wet market.

I bought back the ang gu kuehs from the stall that I mentioned the previous week. It was only when I reached home, MH told me that I got the wrong ones! The usual ones that MH buys are actually from a Nonya baker/ supplier, located just along the shops by the road. I'll definitely find the time to buy the right ones next time.

I baked some banana muffins for the piggies and especially for Fish's niece who likes them.

Banana Muffins

The process of whipped potato.

Peel and wash the potatoes

Cut each potato to quarters. I prefer to dice them to big chunks as they'll be easier to cook and handle.

Boil the potatoes.

While waiting for the potatoes to be cooked, I helped myself to a yam dessert that I'd bought earlier from Zhen Jie at Amoy (Level 2).

For about 20mins or so later.

Scoop the potatoes to a flat plate and start mashing them a fork.

The outcome of 6 potatoes.

The seasoning: margarine, pepper, salt and evporated milk.

I like this pepper that Papa bought from Indonesia. It's white pepper that smells heavenly!

I can't advise on the amount of each seasoning used. I'd based on the taste that MH made for us. My best bet is to add them sparingly and test-taste as you whip them.

Witch Nana and I were the last to reach Chix's home sweet home. We saw the gals busy warming up the soups.

Wow... I was shock with the size of the pizza.

We ordered them from Rocky's Pizza

Large Seafood Special

Xlarge Hawaiian

Meatball Parmesan

I still prefer the Swedish Meatballs sold at Ikea.

Home made whipped potato from me.

Chix doing housework and cleaning up after us. Don't get us wrong for being lazy, but she simply refused to let her guests help her out!

So we crowded around her to keep her company.

HAA! Desserts! Witch Nana brought Ben & Jerry's Strawberry Cheesecake (Nana and my favourite!) and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

Watch out! She's salvating...

And she's licking... even the cover!

The gals got so mersmerized by the tv programme, they stopped at what they were supposed to be doing.

Aren't they cute, just by their reactions in unison???

Witch Nana hugging her tummy and sticking her tongue; a sign of surrender. Me too!!

I like to thank the owners of the house for inviting us Piggies for yet another fantastic gathering! And a big thank you to Chix's hubby for letting us have Chix all to ourselves!

And I wana say a HUGE THANK YOU to my dear Piggies for always being there for better or worse times.
